2017 Tour Options & Survey

During the Parent Meeting on Saturday, March 19, a decision was made to send out a survey to all parents that would include 3 international tour options, and one domestic tour option. On this page are brief descriptions of each tour option as well as sample itineraries (where available).

After reading about the options, please take the survey and let us know which tour option(s) you prefer. Thank you!

INTERNATIONAL TOUR OPTIONS:

1) England

We would apply to serve as Choir in Residence for Canterbury Cathedral, singing evensong in this historic church, as well as giving a concert. The Choir would use this as a homebase to explore London as well as other outlying areas.

Cost: $3800.00 – $4000 (highest cost due to weak exchange rate)
Dates: Late July – early August

2) Italy – Rome/Florence/Venice

We would definitely sing at the Vatican, and there is a possibility the tour company will be able to arrange for the choir to sing for a Papal Mass (very cool).

Cost: $3000 – 3500
Dates: Late June or Late July
Sample Itinerary

3) Ireland

Ireland is a wonderful place to tour. Incredible beauty from the Burren Landscape, to the Ring of Kerry, to the Cliffs of Mohr. The choir would visit Dublin – where Handel’s Messiah was first performed.

Cost: $3000 – $3500
Dates: Late June or Late July
Sample Itinerary

DOMESTIC TOUR OPTION:

(This trip will be offered regardless of whether we tour internationally or not).

New York City – Carnegie Hall

Ms. Holland has been invited to conduct a National Children’s Choir Festival at Carnegie Hall and a group of singers (large or small) are invited to go! Trip includes Statue of Liberty, a Broadway show, a dinner cruise around the island and the opportunity to sing in this amazing performance hall.

Cost: $1800
Dates: June 15 – 19

Help us make these tours happen!

We will be offering many choir-wide fundraisers and will work to help those who aren’t able to pay. Please let us know on the survey if you are willing to participate in fundraising activities to help reduce everyone’s cost.
